What is Sounds That Move?

Sounds That Move is a music festival and conference bringing together NYC’s music lovers and creative community on one block to discover new artists through live concerts and DJs sets, and engage in discussion about the future of creative industries through panels and workshops with industry leaders.

Where is Sounds That Move taking place?

Sounds That Move takes place on Scott Avenue, in Brooklyn, NY, over 25+ concerts, club nights and panels, across 5 different venues: Brooklyn Roots Collective, 99 Scott, the Chocolate Factory, SILO and Honey’s. See our Festival Grounds Map for a more immersive experience.

How do I get there?

The closest train station is the L Train at Jefferson Street. There are CitiBike stations nearby, and NYC street parking may be available around the corner. We recommend Uber/Lyft/Taxi to this drop off location: 233 Randolph St, Brooklyn, NY 11237

Are there age restrictions for events?

Most of our events will be 18+, with 21+ required for entry into events that start after 11pm. Please check the individual event listings before purchase to make sure you meet the age requirement.

Do I need ID?

Yes. All of our venue partners require ID for entry into the building, regardless of the age restriction of the show.

How can I attend every event?

A Sounds That Move wristband will give you priority access to all of the weekends’ events including concerts, club nights, panels, workshops and more. Wristbands go on sale February 17th.

What if I am only interested in one day?

Day passes will be available, starting February 17th, to give you access for all events and panels on that day!

What if I’m only interested in one artist?

We get it! Tickets for individual shows will go on-sale on February 23rd!

Are there public bathrooms?

All of our venue partners have ample bathrooms available for Sounds That Move customers ONLY. There are no porta-potty or street-level bathrooms.

Will there be food?

Yes. While there is no food officially served by Sounds That Move, NYC-licensed street vendors and local eatery partners nearby are only a quick walk up the block. See our Map for more details.
